Dinesh Karthik is a wicket-keeper batsman who plays for the
Indian national team, he is the one who has made his senior debut for the
Indian national team in 2004 and since then he has played all the three formats
for the Indian national team and also he was the part of the 2007 T20 world cup
winning squad as well and also played some outstanding innings in the ICC
Champions trophy in 2013 when he played astonishing innings for the team. He
has also made a test century against Bangladesh in the test matches and also he
is the one who scored the most number of numbers in the England tour where the
team managed to defeat the English team in their backyard after 21 years.
In the year 2007, he got dropped from the national team due
to his poor performances and later he made some sporadic appearances for the
team and in the Nidihas trophy, he made his comeback for the team and in the
final over the smashed 21 runs against the host country Bangladesh and won it
for the team India in the 2019 world cup also he played his part for the team.
In the domestic cricket right now he is leading the two
times Indian premier league champions Kolkata Knight Riders.
In his personal life
Dinesh Karthik married the Indian squash star Dipika Pallikal and they are
happily married for many years, Dinesh Karthik wife sports love came from her
family as her mother is also a former Indian woman cricket team player and his
wife is a very aggressive girl by nature who always lived her life on her own
terms, though many people thought she might choose cricket over any sports she
chooses squash over everything and once in her practice session she was
practicing with her juniors and for that board has asked her to accept her
fault but she is the one who stood up against the decision as took her mom and
traveled to Egypt and there she took her training for Squash and she and her
mother shares a strong bond and even now sometimes she loves to spend some time
with her mother.
Dipika Pallikal is the first Indian squash player who manages to broke into the top 10 players around the world and she is also the first female squash player to bestowed with the Arjuna award, in her career she has also won the 2014 Commonwealth gold medals in the doubles along with Joshna Chinappa and later in the 2016 South Asian games she was the part of the gold medals team and also the dynamic Dipika Pallikal was the part of Silver medal team in the Asian Team Championship.
