The Indian sensation Rohit Sharma was in a red hot form in
the 2019 ICC cricket world cup where he struck 5 centuries for the Indian
national team and which is a milestone for any batsman to score five hundred in
a single world cup, and with his astonishing centuries to the event, he was
also the highest run-getter in the event but team India failed to produce a
performance in the world cup semi-finals against New Zealand and they got
knocked out.
Though the Indian batsman admitted that after the
Semi-Finals his heart got heavy and the talisman also thanks to all the fans
for their lovely support to the Indian cricket team.
After the elimination from the Semi-Final, Rohit Sharmaemotional post he shared on his social media account where he expressed that
the team has failed to deliver when it's needed the most and a 30 minutes poor
cricket cost them the match against New Zealand, and he also can understand the
pain of the supports also who supported the team in their each and every match
during the world cup and also thanks to them who keeps the team motivated all
the time with their joyful support.
In the world cup, the Cricket maestro Rohit Sharma has got
648 runs to his name with his five centuries, and he is the one limner behind
team India’s journey to the world cup Semifinals against New Zealand.
In the Semi-Final match, New Zealand team put a total 240runs and which every Indian thought could easily be chased by the team but the
top three Batsman of Indian cricket team departs in the first three over’s
after the knockout the Indian team captain Virat Kohli also said it always
feels bad when someone or some team played good cricket throughout the
tournament but because of their 45 minutes of bad cricket, they got knocked out
from the crucial stage of the tournament.
After the world cup team, India traveled New Zealand, to
play a series against them where Rohit Sharma played five-match T20 series
against them but later he got ruled out from the one day international and test
match series due to his injury and after that, he hoped to return to the field
with his Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians but due to the Corona
Virus breakout, this Year’s IPL got postponed.
Also this year the T20 world cup is there, but due to this
pandemic it's very much unsure whether it will going to happen or not, but
though many cricket players and cricket supporters are very much hopeful about
the T20 world cup and about the Indian premier league as well.
After the 2019 world cup, there were also many rumors about a rift between Rohit Shamra and the present Indian captain Virat Kohli as well.
